Product Description
Zenith Motor Keyway or
Zenith Motor Coupler
The Zenith CI Hylo Table Keyway uses a coupler system that connects the electric motor to the hydraulic pump. It transfers rotational power only during the raise Hylo (UP) cycle. The table lowers by gravity, controlled by the hydraulic solenoid valve.
Motor‑Side Coupler (Front Piece with raised Bar )
- Fits down inside the motor shaft opening
- Round body with a raised drive bar across the face
- The bar engages the pump-side slot to transmit torque
Pump‑Side Keyway Coupler (Slotted Piece)
- Mounts to the hydraulic pump input shaft
- Features a deep straight slot
- Receives the motor-side bar to form the drive connection
Together, these two parts act like the universal joint of your car, delivering motor power to the pump so the table can lift.
Troubleshooting FAQ — Zenith CI Hylo Keyway / Lift Issues
Why won’t my Zenith CI Hylo Table raise after removing and reinstalling my pump?
- Keyway bar missing (most common after reassembly)
- Motor spinning but not engaging the pump (bar not seated in slot)
- Motor start capacitor failure — motor only hums
- Pump binding or low hydraulic fluid
Why does the table make a grinding or clicking noise when lifting?
- Pump has broken a tooth
- Keyway installed incorrectly (bar not fully seated in slot)
Why does the table go down but not up?
- Normal operation: DOWN is gravity‑lowered through the hydraulic solenoid valve
- If the table won’t raise, the issue is almost always:
- 90% of the time: the start capacitor
- The motor will hum like it’s binding
- Motor shaft does not spin fast enough to engage the pump
Why does the table lift slowly or weakly?
- Pump wear or pump pressure not set correctly (pressure is adjustable)
- Low hydraulic fluid
- Table won’t reach the top
- Pump sucks air, causing noise and stalling
